The Densford Center, created to carry on the legacy of its namesake, Katharine Densford, is located on the 4th floor of Weaver-Densford Hall, and provides an inspiring physical space for the activities of the Center and other nursing groups.
Designed to recreate the ambiance of Powell Hall, home to the School of Nursing from 1932 until its demolition in 1981, the Center includes a number of architectural details and furnishings from that period. Renovation of the Center was funded by the generous donations of alumni, colleagues and students of Katharine Densford. The Lillehei family, in particular, has provided significant support in this process.
Within the Center is the Rahr Board Room, developed with funds donated by the Rahr Foundation. This conference room provides a gracious setting for meetings of up to 12 people. It is equipped with a ceiling mounted projection screen, laptop hookup, and speakerphone capability.
