| Periodically, faculty from other universities
elect to spend time in the Densford Center as part of an international
educational experience or sabbatical objective related to nursing
leadership. The nature of the visit varies but is jointly determined
by the visiting faculty member and Center Director.
Chun-Lan Lee, MS, RN
Chun-Lan
Lee was a visiting scholar in the Densford Center for fall
term 2003. Lori, as she suggested we call her, received her
Master's degree from the School of Nursing, National Defense
Medical Center in Taipei, Taiwan. She is currently an instructor
there, and has been charged with developing a program in nursing
administration, with a particular emphasis on a nursing leadership/management
course, among other responsibilities. She has been active
in the Taiwan Nurses Association, has authored several publications
and served as co-director for several clinical research initiatives.
While in the School of Nursing here at the University of Minnesota,
Lori audited three classes in the School of Nursing: Advances
in Nursing Research, Health Care Leadership for a Changing
World, and Teaching and Learning. Joanne Disch and Chris Mueller
co-sponsored Lori’s visit until she returned to her
home country at the end of December. You may now contact Lori
